We met in the spring of 2013 first as coworkers, then roommates, and quickly, best friends. What began as an easy, undeniable connection quietly grew into something deeper. When Cristen moved back to Texas, Kayt was left holding a truth she could no longer ignore. Naming that truth came at a cost - fear, grief, and being told that loving this way meant condemnation rather than grace. For a long time we were balancing two things - survival meant denial, yet healing meant honesty.

Through time and distance, the day finally came when Kayt opened the proverbial can of worms and we haven t looked back since. Now, friends for thirteen years, officially together for ten, and engaged for one, we find ourselves settling into a reality neither of us once believed was meant for us: choosing each other openly, joyfully, and without apology. Making it officially official.

We balance each other with lots of laughter, talking and sharing and processing and talking so moreπŸ˜†, getting lost in movies and tv series with Coco Capelo Loki Claire, and date nights (thank you Oli & LJ for this inspiration). We remain in awe of this journey not because it was easy, but because it was true, kismet, and filled with magic. We are taking this moment to celebrate a love built through patience, resilience, and deep knowing, alongside the people who have walked with us, supported us, and believed in us along the way.

In Lieu of Gifts

We are fortunate to have everything we need. Instead of gifts, we invite you to join us in supporting The Dragonfly Home. While in Oklahoma, we worked alongside and closely with Whitney Anderson, the Founder and Executive Director of this organization. Her dedication to this work inspires us to care for those around us, eyes wide opened. Today, The Dragonfly Home continues vital work supporting survivors of human trafficking across the State of Oklahoma and within Native American tribal communities.

Honoring our love through generosity feels deeply aligned with our journey and how we met β€”choosing compassion, protection, and hope for those rebuilding their lives. Thank you for celebrating with us in a way that reflects what this season truly means to us.
